Throughout her college career she quickly developed a value system that coincides with her own beliefs and the beliefs she was taught by her loving family. Consistently being an outgoing and optimistic person, Corrine was accepted in to the Leadership Institute, an early acceptance weekend for freshmen eager to be a part of the Leadership Studies Minor. Being a member of the Leadership Studies Minor was the perfect fit for Corrine's personality and work ethic. For Corrine, being a positive leader and role model is one of her many passions. It is important to get to know both sides of the spectrum and to get to know yourself, while building leadership relations. The 412 experience strengthened Corrine's understanding of her identity through content on critical thinking and inclusive leadership. Crucial Conversations taught her how to have conversations that are necessary to maintain relationships with individuals who matter most. This content also improved Corrine's ability to articulate clearly. The inclusive leadership section of the 412 experience changed Corrine's perspective on her own race, sexual identity, class, and privilege. She finds the inclusive portion taught her to think outside the box when collaborating with others. It also taught her to embrace her identity and use it to the best of her ability, Being able to live up to her identity allows Corrine the chance to actively utilize the relational leadership model through knowing, being, and doing. Corrine has developed a select few skills and strengths from the 412 experience. One skill that she has developed is how to respond appropriately to others in an environment necessary for a specific response.
